On 04/24/24, at approximately 10:35 PM, a Sheriff's deputy working a GIVE detail (Gun Involved Violence Elimination) conducted a traffic stop of William L. Ellison, age 41, of the City of Ithaca, on Coy Glen Road in the Town of Ithaca.
A subsequent investigation led the deputy to locating approximately 9 grams of methamphetamine, 5 grams of crack cocaine, 1 gram of Fentanyl and other related drug paraphernalia. An unlawfully possessed .380 caliber handgun loaded with seven rounds was also confiscated.
Ellison was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd (Class C Felony).
Ellison was arraigned at the TCSO CAP and remanded to the Corrections Division without bail. He was scheduled to reappear in the Town of Ithaca Court on 4/29/24 at 9AM.
