Federal, local, and state laws prohibit housing discrimination. The Federal Fair Housing Act, The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act all provide protection from housing discrimination. Whether you are a homeseeker, a landlord, or a realtor, it's important for you to know your rights and responsibilities under Fair Housing Laws. If you believe you have been discrimintated against in housing or you want more information on following fair housing laws, please contact the Office of Human Rights.
