Ithaca Tompkins International Airport Requests Proposals for Marketing and Advertising Services

The Ithaca Tompkins International Airport is seeking proposals for advertising and marketing services, and encourages experienced, inclusive, and innovative agencies to consider responding to a request for proposals (RFP) available online.

The scope of the RFP includes two distinct programs, one for terminal display advertising and one for marketing services, applicants may choose to submit a proposal for one or both programs.

The Ithaca Tompkins International Airport is the closest airport to Cornell UniversityIthaca College, and many Finger Lakes destinations, with over 750 one-stop global destinations. The airport recently completed a $34.8 million renovation project, making it a state-of-the-art facility providing an excellent flying experience for passengers.

The terminal display advertising program should support the airport’s mission to provide a safe, efficient, clean, and enjoyable facility which exceeds the expectations of the traveling public, the airport tenants, and other airport users. The display advertising program must also provide acceptable design standards, create an advertising program which is appealing to the public, include diverse audiences, convey a clear image of Tompkins County, and generate a strong financial return to the County.

The marketing services program includes advertising the airport to the public, comprehensive marketing and positioning of the airport in the local community, coordination with key stakeholders, analysis of market factors, strategic planning and promotion, media production, metric development, and website design.

Director of the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport, Roxan Noble encouraged RFP responses, sharing “Marketing and advertising play a key role in our industry during normal times, and that has become even more crucial throughout the pandemic. We’re looking for a partner who will work with us to make ITH grow as we work toward pre-pandemic passenger numbers and beyond.”
