Tompkins County Child and Family Services Plan to be Discussed at September 10 Public Hearing

The Tompkins County Department of Social Services invites the public to a virtual public hearing regarding its Child and Family Services Plan. The hearing will include an overview of available services and how they can be accessed. Members of the public are invited to bring questions and offer ways to improve service delivery in Tompkins County. Tompkins County will incorporate comments and suggestions that are made during the hearing into its planning process.

Tompkins County representatives from the following departments and divisions will be available during the public hearing and discuss topics under their purview:

  • Children’s Services
    • Child Protective Services, Foster Care, Adoption, and Preventive Services
  • Youth Services
    • Runaway and Homeless Youth Services, Youth and Young Adult Supports, Sexually Exploited and Trafficked Youth
  • Adult Protective Services
  • Child Care
    • Child Care Assistance Program
  • Probation
    • Persons in Need of Supervision (PINs) Diversion Services

The event is open to the general public and will be held on September 10, 2024 at 4:00pm. Members of the public are invited to pre-register for the zoom webinar public hearing at the following link:  https://tcgov.co/91024hearing
