On March 10, 2022 at approximately 7:15 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Winston Court in the Town of Ithaca for a third party report of a vehicle in the ditch.
When deputies arrived they observed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee in the ditch at the intersection of Winston Court and Deerfield Place. Deputies checked the registration on the vehicle, which came back to Kristie Laforge, age 46 of Ithaca, NY. Deputies were able to locate Laforge and interview her further. While deputies were speaking with Laforge, deputies observed signs of impairment and arrested Laforge.
Laforge was charged with Failure to Maintain Designated Lane, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident and Driving While Intoxicated. Laforge was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court at a later date.
