On April 4, 2022 at 11:06 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a black Audi on Wood Road, Town of Dryden after observing the vehicle with loud exhaust and a temporary inspection.
Deputies identified the driver as Shawn M. Seamans, age 47 of Freeville, NY. Seamans let deputies search his vehicle which resulted in deputies locating two baggies of Hallucinogenic Mushrooms and a baggy of methamphetamine.
Seamans was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree - Hallucinogenic Mushrooms (Class C Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree - Methamphetamine (Class A Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and other traffic infractions.
Seamans was held for Centralized Arraignment.
