On July 1st 2022 at approximately 10:10PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two car motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of Top's Friendly Markets, located at 2300 N. Triphammer Rd in the Village of Lansing.
While on scene and investigating the crash, deputies spoke to 61 year old Eric Acree of Lansing NY and observed signs of impairment. Through further investigation, deputies determined that Acree was driving while intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Acree was charged with Driving while Intoxicated, Driving while Intoxicated above a .08 BAC and other traffic violations.
Acree was issued his appearance tickets to appear at the Town of Lansing Court on a future court date and released.
