On June 28, 2022 at around 5:00 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to The Glenwood Pines Restaurant located on State Route 89 in the Town of Ulysses for a reported burglary.
Upon arrival deputies spoke with a delivery person who noticed that a window was broken. Deputies checked the restaurant and surrounding area but did not locate a suspect.
On July 13, 2022, Investigators located and arrested Michael J. Thomas, age 33 of Ithaca NY. Thomas was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree a Class D Felony. Thomas was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
Thomas is suspected of multiple burglaries throughout the City of Ithaca and Tompkins County and has also been charged by Ithaca City Police and New York State Police with separate burglaries.
The investigation included investigators from the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office, Ithaca City Police Department, and New York State Police.
