On October 12, 2022 at 7:09 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Bishop Road and Douglas Road in the Town of Newfield for a report of several individuals fighting with metal pipes.
When deputies arrived on scene they spoke to all parties involved to attempt to gather information as to what occurred. After further investigation and interviews, deputies concluded that 19 year old Terry Bruce of Newfield NY had menaced a person with a metal pipe and did so in front of a seven year old child.
Bruce was charged with Menacing in the 2nd Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor). Bruce was issued his appearance ticket and released.
