Business in Tompkins County

photo of jennifer

“The Tompkins County region, including Ithaca, is nationally recognized as a prime place to locate and grow a business. Tompkins County is home to the Cornell University, Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College as well as many high-tech companies. These intellectual assets feed the business community with scientific break-throughs, an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative, highly-skilled workforce. They have also helped spur the growth of research-based businesses and attracted nationally renowned teams of scientists. These assets are very much available to local businesses and organizations, and can help identify and address problems. ”
Jennifer Tavares
President, Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce
