On November 23, 2023 at 12:25 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of Peruville Road near North Triphammer Road in the Town of Lansing for a one car crash.
Upon arrival deputies determined that a 2011 Jeep was traveling east on Peruville road when it drove off of the roadway in a northeasterly direction causing property damage. The driver was identified as Eric A. Spicer, age 34 of Claysburg, PA. Spicer refused standardized field sobriety tests and refused to provide a chemical breath test.
Spicer was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle (Violation) and Failure to Keep Right (Violation). Spicer was turned over to the jail for Centralized Arraignment Proceedings.
