On January 19, 2023 at 5:18 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff Deputies responded to the Econo Lodge, located at 2303 N. Triphammer Road in the Village of Lansing for a reported dispute.
When deputies arrived on scene, they spoke with the complainant who informed them them that a male had just choked her. After further investigation, deputies identified the male as 71 year-old William SengerFinn of Ithaca, NY. Deputies spoke with SengerFinn and obtained further evidence. Deputies explained to SengerFinn that he was under arrest, but SengerFinn resisted apprehension from deputies. After a short period of time, SengerFinn was apprehended and taken to the Tompkins County Public Safety Building for processing.
SengerFinn was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Resisting Arrest. SengerFinn was issued an appearance ticket to appear at the Town of Lansing Court on a future date and released.
