On March 1, 2022 at 9:10 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Mirabito Gas Station located at 1103 Danby Road in the Town of Ithaca for a traffic complaint. A passerby reported an illegally parked vehicle with the driver appearing intoxicated and vomiting.
Upon arrival, Deputies identified the driver as AMANDA I. Auerrell, age 57 of Danby, NY. Deputies determined Auerrell was intoxicated and arrested Auerrell.
Auerrell was charged with Driving While Intoxicated blood alcohol content greater than .08%. Auerrell was processed and released with an appearance ticket directing Auerrell to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court on March 30, 2022 at 4:00PM.
