On October 1, 2022 at 3:46 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 800 block of Cayuga Heights Road in the Village of Lansing for a report of a one car crash.
Upon arrival deputies observed a 2022 Porsche that had failed to maintain it's lane of travel and struck a guard rail. The driver was identified as CHIDIEBERE F NECHI, age 23 of Frisco, TX. Through further investigation deputies determined that Nechi was intoxicated. Nechi refused to submit to a chemical breath test.
Nechi was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Refusal to Take a Breath Test, and Moved from Lane Unsafely (Infraction). Nechi was held for Centralized Arraignment Proceedings.
