On April 6, 2024 at 7:25 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a gray Cadillac on Peruville Road in the Town of Groton after learning that the driver of the Cadillac had a revoked drivers license and a warrant for their arrest.
The driver of the Cadillac was Anna E. Carberry, age 50 of Mechanicville, NY. Carberry had a total of five (5) revocations and or suspensions on her license. Through further investigation deputies determined that Carberry was intoxicated and arrested Carberry.
Carberry later refused to submit to a chemical breath test. Carberry had five (5) prior convictions for alcohol related offenses. Carberry was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (D Felony- 2 prior convictions within the proceeding 10 years) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree (E Felony). Carberry was turned over to the Tompkins County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Proceedings.
