April 19, 2026 - Stolen Property Arrest

On April 19, 2026, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to multiple reports of larcenies in the Town of Ulysses. Deputies located the suspect in the immediate area and took him into custody.  A significant amount of stolen property was found on his person.

 

The suspect was identified as Phoenix S. Morales Vico, age 20, of Trumansburg, NY.  Morales Vico attempted to steal a motor vehicle and was found in possession of various stolen items taken from multiple victims’ vehicles and properties, along with burglar tools.

 

Morales Vico was charged with:
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, 5th Degree
  • Two counts of Petit Larceny
  • Attempted Grand Larceny, 3rd Degree
  • Possession of Burglar Tools
Morales Vico was transported to the Tompkins County Corrections Division to be arraigned at 8:00 PM.  The investigation remains ongoing.

 

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office was assisted in this investigation by the New York State Park Police and the Trumansburg Village Police Department.
