July 17, 2025 - Personal Injury Collision

On July 17, 2025 at about 3:20 PM, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Freeville Road in the Town of Dryden for a reported collision involving a car and motorcycle.

Upon arrival the motorcycle operator was transported to Upstate Medical Center by Dryden Ambulance and is reported to be in stable condition.  The operator of the car was Jason Lott, age 50, of Binghamton.

The investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling east bound on Freeville Road, while Lott was traveling west and attempting to turn into Poets Landing.  Lott failed to yield the right away.

At the close of the investigation, Lott was Charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

He was issued an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Dryden Court on 08/13/25 and was released to a sober third party.    

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Dryden Fire Department, Dryden Ambulance, the Village of Dryden Police Department, and the New York State Police.
