March 8, 2025 - Traffic Stop leads to drug seizure in Dryden

On March 8, 2025, at 11:31 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu for vehicle and traffic law violations. Deputies interviewed the driver, Clive L. Allen, age 29 of Syracuse and the passenger, Jocelyn Dahzy, age 29 of Syracuse, NY. During their investigation, a narcotics canine and handler with the New York State Police was contacted and assisted with the investigation. The canine subsequently alerted to the presence of narcotics and a vehicle search was conducted. A search resulted in the discovery of the following items.
-150 glassine envelopes each containing suspected fentanyl (150 doses).
-13 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
-4 grams of suspected powder cocaine.
-71 "Xanax" pills (Alprazolam).
-1 scale with white residue.
-several baggies (packaging material)
-$150 US Currency
Allen was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony) - Intent to sell (cocaine, fentanyl and Xanax), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Illegal Window Tint (Infraction). Allen was turned over to Centralized Arraignment and was later released.
Dahzy was Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony) - Intent to sell (cocaine, fentanyl and Xanax). Dahzy was also turned over to Centralized Arraignment and later released.
