January 17, 2026 - DWI Arrest

On January 17, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle striking a tree on Trumansburg Road at Hopkins Place in the Town of Ithaca.

Upon arrival, deputies were assisted by the Ithaca Fire Department in extricating the driver, who was later identified as 37-year-old Natashia Richardson of Trumansburg, New York. Following her removal from the vehicle, deputies conducted an investigation and interviewed Richardson.

As a result of the investigation, Richardson was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. She was processed and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court on a later date.

Additional charges are pending, subject to the results of a blood test.
