July 2, 2025 - DWI Arrest

On July 2, 2025, at 11:54 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 487 Main Street in the Town of Dryden for a motor vehicle crash. 

Upon arrival deputies observed a Toyota that had failed to keep right and crashed into the northbound ditch.  The driver was identified as Matthew J. Leonard age 36 of Cortland, NY.  Through further investigation deputies determined that Leonard was intoxicated and arrested Leonard.

Leonard was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with 0.18% BAC or more, and failure to keep right.  Leonard was released on an appearance ticket and is set to appear in the Town of Dryden Court on 07/30/2025 at 5:00 PM.
