Voters reminded of June 23 Primary Elections and Early Voting

Tompkins County will hold Democratic and Republican Primary Elections on June 23, 2026. These countywide primaries are open to voters who were registered as Democrats or Republicans as of February 14, 2026. Eligible voters may participate in their respective party’s Primary Election to help select candidates who will appear on the November ballot.

Democratic voters will choose a candidate for New York State Comptroller. Republican voters will choose a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, 19th Congressional District. In addition, Democratic voters in the Town of Ulysses will vote in a Primary Election for Town Councilperson.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Early Voting for the Primary Elections began on June 13 and continues through June 21. Eligible voters may cast their ballot at either of the following locations:

  • Tompkins County Board of Elections, 128 E. Buffalo Street, Ithaca (second floor)
  • Tompkins County Crash, Fire, and Rescue Building, 72 Brown Road, Lansing (near the airport)

Both locations are fully accessible, and parking is available.
