August 19, 2026 - Tompkins County Drug Task Force Investigation

The Tompkins County Drug Task Force, consisting of members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Village of Groton Police Department, Village of Trumansburg Police Department, executed a search warrant during the early morning hours of August 19, 2026, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics.

The search warrant was executed on King Street in the Village of Trumansburg. Members of the Ithaca/Tompkins Specialized Response Team made entry into the residence and located resident Keenan Vick Sr., age 47. 

During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement officers located suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and psychedelic mushrooms, along with digital scales, packaging materials, .380-caliber handgun ammunition, and $1,126 in U.S. currency.

Vick was taken into custody and was retrieved by Drug Enforcement Administration on an outstanding warrant. 

The investigation is continuing and local charges are pending.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
