September 14, 2026 - DWI Arrest

On September 14^th , 2026, at approximately 3:34 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched information indicating that an alleged intoxicated female had just left a liquor in the City of Ithaca after being denied service. The female was reported to be operating a blue Chevrolet Sedan, leaving in an unknown direction of travel. The complainant did provide TCCC with a license plate number which came back to an address in the 200 block of Lower Creek Rd in the Town of Dryden. 

A few minutes later, deputies located the suspect vehicle traveling from State Route 13 onto Lower Creek Rd in the Town of Dryden. Deputies observed the vehicle fail to keep right, and a traffic stop was initiated. Deputies identified the operator as Katelin Nelson, age 35, of Ithaca NY. At the conclusion of the investigation, Nelson was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Nelson was issued an appearance ticket and is set to appear at the Town of Dryden Court at a future date.
