Long Range Transportation Plan Update
12/11/2024 Update: The draft 2045 Long-Range Transportation Plan(PDF, 103MB) is ready for final review: 2045 LRTP Final Draft
The Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council is required to maintain a Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) that provides a twenty-year vision for the transportation system in Tompkins County.
The document needs to be updated every five years. Final approval of the 2045 LRTP is scheduled for December 17, 2024.
The LRTP addresses all forms of surface transportation – cars, freight, transit, inter-city buses, bicycles, walking, shared transportation (bike share, car share) and rail. Air transport is not covered in this plan.
