TC Office for the Aging's 50th Anniversary and Senior Living Expo

The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is proud to announce its 50th Anniversary Celebration and Senior Living Expo taking place on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hotel Ithaca, 222 S. Cayuga St., Ithaca. This event is free and open to the public.

This milestone event will honor five decades of dedication to enhancing the lives of older adults in Tompkins County. Community members, caregivers, service providers, and older adults are invited to celebrate COFA’s achievements while exploring the latest in aging services.

Highlights of the event include: •

Vendors from over 30 local and regional organizations offering services for older adults and caregivers
A breakout presentation at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM entitled “Frauds and Scams: Awareness, Detection, Prevention and Action”
10-minute fall risk screenings by physical therapists from Reilley Physical Therapy to evaluate your balance, strength and mobility
A brief commemorative ceremony at 3:15 PM recognizing COFA’s legacy and impact

“We are thrilled to celebrate 50 years of serving the older adults in our community,” said Lisa Monroe, Director of the Tompkins County Office for the Aging. “This event is both a celebration of the past and a look toward the future of aging services in our community. And what better way to do that then to bring back our popular Senior Living Expo!”

Since its establishment in 1975, the Tompkins County Office for the Aging has been a vital resource for older adults, advocating for independence, dignity, and quality of life.
