August 30, 2025 - DWI Arrest

On August 30, 2025, at 12:21 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies were patrolling the Town of Danby.  While on patrol a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Yaple Road after observing a black Chevrolet pick-up truck commit several traffic infractions.  Deputies interviewed the driver, Ryan L. Emerson, age 30 of Ithaca, NY.  During their interview, Deputies observed signs of intoxication and conducted a DWI Investigation which resulted in Emersons arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Emerson was charged with Failing to Signal a Turn (Traffic Infraction), Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test - Roadside PBT (Traffic Infraction) and Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor).  Emerson was processed and was released to Tompkins County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
