February 18, 2026 - TCSO Arrests Fugitive Wanted in Florida

On February 18, 2026, at approximately 2:15 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Tompkins County Probation, located at 320 W. State Street in the City of Ithaca, for a report of an individual with an active extraditable warrant.

Deputies identified the individual as Henry Dean, age 65, of Ithaca, NY.  Dean was found to have a full extraditable warrant issued by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for a violation of probation.

Upon arrival, deputies detained Dean and confirmed the warrant with Monroe County authorities, who advised they would extradite Dean and provided the necessary documentation.  Dean was subsequently transported to the Tompkins County Jail and charged as a fugitive from justice.  Dean will remain in custody pending extradition to Florida to answer the warrant.
