On February 26, 2026, at approximately 1:10 p.m., Deputies from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Cornell University Police Department with an individual taken into custody on an out‑of‑state warrant.

The individual was identified as 50‑year‑old Alvonsey Manigault of Rochester, New York. Manigault was found to have a full extraditable warrant issued from Hamilton County, Ohio, for charges related to possession and trafficking of cocaine.

Deputies contacted the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, which confirmed that Ohio authorities would extradite Manigault to answer the pending charges. Tompkins County deputies then took custody of Manigault, processed him as a fugitive from justice, and transported him to the Tompkins County Jail, where he will remain pending extradition to Ohio.
