Following a contest including submissions from kindergarten through high school age students in Tompkins County, the Tompkins County Board of Elections is inviting County residents to vote for their favorite “I Voted” and “Future Voters” sticker designs. A total of 67 designs were submitted – the highest number yet since the inaugural contest in 2023. The 15 final design submissions are listed online at https://tcgov.co/2025sticker, where residents can submit their vote. The deadline for voting is July 4, 2025.

Flyers featuring the final designs will be posted at polling locations for the June 2025 primary and special election. The flyers will contain a QR code that will allow individuals to vote on their phones.

The Board of Elections will hand out “I Voted” stickers featuring the design that receives the highest number of community votes to voters in the November 2025 general election. “Future Voter” stickers will be handed out to young people joining their families at the polls to learn more about democracy and voting.

The winners from each category will receive copies of their winning sticker design and a proclamation from the Tompkins County Legislature later this year.

Republican Elections Commissioner Alanna Congdon stated, “Thank you very much to the students who submitted their artwork for this contest. We were so pleased with the overwhelming response this year. I hope the community will validate their work by voting for their favorite designs.”

Democratic Elections Commissioner Stephen Dewitt stated, “This year’s submissions were again very creative and patriotic. It was hard to pick the finalists for the public to vote on. I encourage everyone to share the contest with friends and family. Our goal with this program is to increase civic participation and voter turnout – thanks to everyone for engaging with this contest.”
