Independence Day Closings and Recycling Pickup Schedule

The Tompkins County Department of Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM) office will be closed Friday, July 3rd, and will reopen Monday, July 6th, during regular hours. However, the Recycling and Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will remain open as usual on Friday, July 3rd
There will be curbside recycling collection on Friday, July 3rd. Recycling pickup will occur as usual for the duration of the week.
The Recycling and Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will be closed on Saturday, July 4th, and will reopen on Monday, July 6th, during regular hours.
Food Scraps Recycling Drop Spots will be closed on Saturday July 4th:
- Recycling & Solid Waste Center (RSWC)
- Danby Town Hall
- Dryden Town Highway Department
- East Hill Plaza
- Groton Town Clerk’s Office
- Lansing Village Office
- Tompkins County Highway Department
- Trumansburg Village Public Works
Food Scraps Recycling Drop Spots will remain open as usual on Sunday, July 5th. Residents are encouraged to visit alternative drop spots during the week listed at http://tcgov.co/FoodScraps
Residents can use the “Find My Recycling Day” tool at https://tcgov.co/MyRecyclingDay to receive curbside collection reminders via phone, text or email. The tool automatically adjusts for holidays when there is no collection. Enter your address and click “Get a Reminder.”
