January 9, 2026 - DWI Arrest

On January 9^th 2026 at approximately 7:24 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff Deputies responded to 654 Elmira Rd in the Town of Ithaca, the Roadway Inn, for a report of a male unresponsive in a vehicle. While deputies were in route to the scene, Tompkins Dispatch reported that the male was now conscious and walking around the vehicle. 

When deputies arrived on scene, they identified the male as 32 year old Brandon McGill of Trumansburg NY. Deputies interviewed the male further and ultimately arrested McGill for driving while intoxicated. 

McGill was transported to the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office, where he was processed further. McGill's charges are as follows;

-Driving While Intoxicated

-Driving While Intoxicated above a 0.08% BAC

-Driving While Intoxicated above a 0.18% BAC

McGill was issued an appearance ticket to appear at the Town of Ithaca Court on a later date to answer his charges.
