July 23, 2025 - Fatal Rollover Crash

At approximately 5:09 PM, the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 3000 block of Krums Corners Road in the Town of Ulysses.

Deputies determined that the vehicle had been traveling northbound when the driver lost control, resulting in the vehicle rolling over.

The female driver, Melanie Seneriz, age 25, of Ronkonkoma, NY, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Upstate Medical Center by Bangs Ambulance. A 23-year-old male passenger, from Deer Park, NY, who suffered serious injuries, was taken to Cayuga Medical Center by Trumansburg Ambulance. He was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending.

Responding agencies included the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office, Trumansburg Fire Department, Trumansburg Ambulance, Bangs Ambulance, and the New York State Police.
