June 1, 2025 - DWI Arrest

On June 1, 2025, at 02:24 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of Sperry Lane and Ridge Road in the Town of Lansing for a 911 report of a suspiciously parked vehicle that was stationary for a period of time with its lights on. 

Upon arrival, deputies located a 2014 Ford on the roadway running with a driver sleeping at the wheel.  Deputies identified the driver as ACOSTA-LOPEZ, LENIN E age 42 of Aurora, NY.  ACOSTA-LOPEZ was determined to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.

ACOSTA-LOPEZ was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with 0.08% BAC or more.  Acosta-Lopez was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lansing Court on July 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
