On March 14th, 2025 at about 12:07AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies observed a Gray Honda fail to stop at a stop sign on Uptown Road in the Village of Lansing. The vehicle had no tail lamps or plate lamps functioning. Deputies identified the driver as RYAN M BENEDICT (Age 23 of Lansing). He was determined to be impaired and subsequently was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Benedict was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with 0.08% BAC or More, failure to stop at a stop sign, and no/inadequate tail lamps. Benedict was released on an appearance ticket to a sober third party and is set to be arraigned on April 3rd, 2025 at 2:00PM.
