On May 8, 2025, at approximately 5:00 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Whitetail Drive in the Town of Ithaca for a report of subjects going through parked vehicles and possibly stealing property from the vehicles.

Based on the information obtained from the 911 caller a vehicle and suspect description was gathered and relayed to responding deputies.  Through the information obtained from the 911 caller, deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the Town of Dryden a short time later.

When deputies located the suspect vehicle, the vehicle was occupied by two adult males. The two males were identified as Christopher J. Palmer-Thompson, age 21, of Dryden, NY and Ismail Abdur-Razzaaq, age 18, of Ithaca, NY.  Palmer-Thompson and Abdur-Razzaaq were detained and transported to the Public Safety Building pending the outcome of the investigation.

A search of the suspect vehicle revealed numerous articles of stolen property.  Upon further investigation it was determined that Palmer-Thompson and Abdur-Razzaaq had committed multiple thefts from different locations throughout the South Hill neighborhood.

Palmer-Thompson and Abdur-Razzaaq were subsequently charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C Felony), multiple counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class E Felony), and multiple counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor).  Palmer-Thompson and Abdur-Razzaaq were then turned over to Tompkins County Corrections Division to await Centralized Arraignment proceedings.
