October 29, 2026 - DWI Accident Arrest

On October 29th, 2026 at 12:55 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Midline Road near Hollister Road, Town of Dryden for a minor motor vehicle accident.  

Deputies arrived and interviewed the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle that struck a guardrail, Scott W. Caskey, age 53 of Ithaca.  During their conversation, Deputies observed signs of intoxication and conducted a DWI Investigation which ultimately led to Caskey's arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Caskey was charged with Driving While intoxicated - Common Law (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor).  Caskey was released on traffic tickets and ordered to return to the Town of Dryden Court at a later date.
