If you live in Tompkins County, check your mailbox at home. The Board of Elections (BOE) mailed this week a postcard with voter information about the Primary and General Elections this year, dates for Early Voting, the political jurisdiction the voter lives in, and their polling place. See an example postcard below. This information should be helpful to voters, particularly because of redistricting.
There is an important statement highlighted in yellow above the voter's address. If the voter does not live at the address anymore, the current resident can return the postcard to the BOE by dropping it in the mail. It would be helpful if they wrote MOVED or another appropriate explanation next to the address. Doing this assists the BOE in keeping the voter database up to date.
For more information, reach out to the BOE staff.
