September 1, 2026 - Warrant Arrest/Drugs

On 09/01/2026, at 9:16 PM, the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Slaterville Road in the Town of Caroline, NY.

The operator, and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as David E. Beckman, age 40, of the Town of Newfield, NY.

Beckman had an outstanding arrest warrant out of our office for Class D Felonies for Failure to Verify Address, Failure to Verify Employment, and Failure to Register a Change of Address under the Sex Offender Act.

Subsequent to his arrest, Beckman was found in possession of methamphetamine and was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a Class A Misdemeanor

Beckman was held for Centralized Arraignment Court this morning at 8:00 AM where he was remanded to the jail without bail.

These are allegations only and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
