On September 3, 2026, members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 650 Davis Road in the Town of Lansing as part of an investigation into a contractor theft case.

In March 2026, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a contractor who had allegedly accepted a substantial amount of money for a construction project that was not completed.

Following an extensive investigation, investigators presented their findings to the Town of Lansing Court, which issued a search warrant for the Davis Road property.

At the conclusion of the search warrant, Dustin M. Kryszcuk, age 54, of Lansing, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, a Class C felony.

Kryszcuk was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
