September 5, 2026 - Property Damage Accident Results in Two DWI Arrest

On 09/05/2026, at approximately 2:10 AM, deputies responded to the 900 block of Danby Road in the Town of Ithaca for a one-car property damage collision.

The operator of the vehicle, Chelsea Noriega Perez, age 20, of Corona, NY, reported that she was traveling on Danby Road, when she attempted to turn left striking the curb and a light pole. After this, and prior to police arrival, her passenger Kevin Restrepo, age 23, of Elmhurst, NY, got in the driver seat and operated the vehicle for a short distance. 

As a result of the investigation, both were charged with Driving While Intoxicated and were released. They were scheduled to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court on 10/27/26, at 9:30 AM.
