Help Choose the 2025 Tompkins County Voting Stickers

Following a contest including submissions from kindergarten through high school age students in Tompkins County, the Tompkins County Board of Elections is inviting County residents to vote for their favorite “I Voted” and “Future Voters” sticker designs. A total of 67 designs were submitted – the highest number yet since the inaugural contest in 2023. The deadline for voting is July 4, 2025.

Health Alert: Dog Bite on Monkey Run Trail/Varna Cliffs Area

Tompkins County Whole Health’s Environmental Health Division (EH) must locate a dog that bit a person on Monday, June 2, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, on the Monkey Run Trail, around the Varna Cliffs area (Freese Road, Ithaca, N.Y.). Anyone with information regarding this dog is urged to call EH at 607-274-6688. Staff are available at this number to take calls related to rabies and bites, 24/7.

Highlights of the 6/3/25 Tompkins County Legislature Meeting

The Legislature approved up to $50 million in funding for the development of the Center of Government. The funding is expected to be a combination of cash, debt, and potential grant sources and encompasses the full scope of the project, including the deconstruction of existing facilities, planning and design, construction of the new COG building, furniture, IT infrastructure, and renovations.
