Join our licensed clinical therapists in this virtual program to improve your ability to:

  • Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

  • Recognize how your own emotions, experiences and reactions influence parent-child interactions

About the program:

The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

The purpose of a parent attending a Circle of Security group is to increase an understanding of the child’s emotional and relational needs through an attachment-based framework. In ACT, psychological flexibility is characterized through six core processes:

  • acceptance,
  • contact with the present moment,
  • mindfulness,
  • cognitive diffusion (also known as thought distancing),
  • values, and
  • committed action (values-based actions).

Each group will be devoted to focusing on one of these core processes and building related coping skills while also showing over time how each of the core processes are interwoven to foster a flexible attention to present moment experiences.
