On December 15, 2023 at 8:45 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Scofield Road in the Town of Dryden for a one car crash.
Upon arrival deputies located a 2015 Chevrolet Cruz that had crashed into the ditch. Deputies located the driver in the vehicle. The driver was identified as Cassandra B. Canada, age 36 of Groton, NY. Through further investigation deputies determined that Canada was intoxicated.
Canada was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor). Canada refused to provide a chemical test. Canada was turned over the the Tompkins County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment proceedings.
