On December 17, 2023 at 5:45 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies were patrolling West State Street in the City of Ithaca. While on patrol, Deputies observed what appeared to be two males making a drug transaction alongside the building at Chucks Mobil, 540 West State Street in the City of Ithaca. Deputies interviewed both parties and confirmed what deputies originally suspected. At the conclusion of their investigation, Deputies made the following arrests;
Henry C. Spencer, age 59 of Ithaca was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Methamphetamine) - Class A Misdemeanor. Spencer was released on scene with an appearance ticket ordering him to return to the City of Ithaca Court at a later date.
Scott A. Tredeau, age 42 of Ithaca was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (Methamphetamine) - Class D Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (Possession with intent to Sell Methamphetamine/Heroin) - Class D Felony. Tredeau was turned over to the Tompkins County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment.
