On January 14, 2024, at approximately 5:42 PM, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 1000 block of Harford Slaterville Road in the Town of Dryden for a reported Burglary in progress.
The burglary was reportedly occurring at a residence and was being monitored by the owner from another location on a live surveillance camera. Arriving deputies were involved in a short foot pursuit before capturing the suspect and identifying him as Alfred W. Morse, age 35, of 398 Buffalo Road, Brooktondale, NY.
Morse was held in the Tompkins County Jail where he is awaiting arraignment in the Sheriff's Office Centralized Arraignment Court.
