The Strategic Tourism Planning Board (STPB), in consultation with County staff, prepares an annual budget for the hotel room occupancy tax collected by Tompkins County.
The deadline for hotel room occupancy tax funding requests has passed. Funding decisions will be announced later this year as part of the larger 2027 Tompkins County budget process.
The Tompkins County Legislature adopted the 2026 budget on November 18, 2025.
